Like you, I was once a typical school girl who just enjoyed music. However, after secondary school, I hit a crossroad when I didn’t know what to do next. I was lucky because I made my decision early and pursued my passion. I have met so many who came to music later on in life and encounter many challenges because they didn’t build a solid foundation early. The wonderful educators I met along the way, all performing artists, helped me find my unique sound. But most importantly, because I started early, I built a good foundation and was able to take my career further than most. 

We all know that the best learning comes from teaching and inspiring others. Our Foundation students get to inspire students at Fairview International School through its “Everyone’s a Musician” programme. As you share your passion for music to others,  the music takes on a new meaning. By helping the young ones express their own emotions through music, we deepen our relationship with the song in our heart. 

And remember this~ Music is meant to be shared with other people. You wouldn’t want to practice 8 hours a day by yourself or just to pass another meaningless exam. Let your music inspire others and express your feelings. You will be surprised by how much joy you will get when your music is heard and recognized by others. We want you to be proud of your profession, to enjoy making beautiful music and share this passion with others.
