"I am very much looking forward to joining Fairview's Foundation in Music, studying under Mr Jae Sern (lecturer) as being a Fairview student myself, I trust the quality of education I am getting and I am very impressed with the support the school has given to me throughout these years in making me a better musician. I choose to start my music tertiary study in Fairview as I like the commitment the faculty has in bringing the best out of us!"

"I was born in Singapore. I began to study piano at the age of 8. At the age of 13, I won the gold medal of the Singapore international classical piano competition 2017 and also got the silver award of Cristofori's Got Talent 2019. Piano has always been my passion. After getting my N level certificate in 2020, I went on to study at Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts and I am looking forward to studying at Fairview International School, Kuala Lumpur under one of the greatest pianists of Southeast Asia, Mr. Poom Prommachart."

Top 4 Questions That Matter When You Choose A Foundation in Music Programme

A strong music foundation programme should integrate both academic theory and hands-on performance. Look for one that not only teaches music history and composition but also gives you opportunities to perform, compose, and collaborate.

Learning from industry professionals and experienced educators can make a huge difference. Mentors who understand both local and international music scenes will help develop your skills and broaden your perspective.

A good programme should open doors. Our Foundation in Music provides direct pathways to top institutions such as:

  • National Chiayi University (Taiwan)
  • Middlesex University (London)
  • Berklee College of Music (USA)

Beyond the syllabus, you should thrive in a community that encourages creativity, reflection, and personal growth. The right environment can nurture your passion and help you grow as both an artist and scholar.
