- Saylor Academy: Offers free college-level textbooks and courses in a variety of fields.
- MIT OpenCourseWare (OCW): While not just textbooks, many course materials include lecture notes, assignments, and readings.
- Directory of Open Access Books (DOAB): Over 70,000 academic peer-reviewed books from 600+ publishers.
- BookBoon: Offers free textbooks primarily in engineering, IT, and business. Requires email registration.
